Meet the Advisor – Dr. Nitin Shah

Dear. Nitin Shah is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Loma Linda University and Interim Deputy Chief of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center, Long Beach, CA. He is a Founding President of Anekant Community Center (ACC) who does charity work in the USA & other parts of the world for a variety of medical missions. ACC has done over 300 missions in 15 countries including the USA. Dr. Shah is also Past President of Jain Center of Southern California and Co-Convener of JAINA (Federation of Jain Associations in North America) Conventions in 2009 & 2019. Since 2006, he has been working with renowned Ophthalmologists in over 300 missions in 15 countries. Many missions have become annual. Few are listed below: 1. Annual Anekant Community Center’s free Health Fair in conjunction with Jain Center of Southern California at Jain Center, Buena Park, California 2. Annual Anaheim Health Fair in Anaheim, California since 2007. 3. Annual 3 days Surgical camp at Kalidas Hospital, Vyara, India 4. Annual Medical camp at Narmada Sugar Factory, Rajpipla, India. 5. Annual Cataract Surgical Mission at Mandeville Regional Hospital, Mandevile, Jamaica 6. Annual Medical/Surgical Missions at Zambia since 2013 7. Annual Medical/Surgical/Dental mission at Nigeria, Africa since 2018 8. Annual medical/surgical/dental/eye care missions at Ghana, Africa since 2019 Other countries he has been to are Nepal, Haiti, Kenya, South Africa etc. He is very passionate about mentoring youth for humanitarian projects around the world.
