Eye Matter is hosting FREE arts classes in which visually impaired individuals of ALL AGES participate in online art workshops of a multitude of disciplines listed below. These art classes will allow individuals to grow their confidence, find a creative outlet, build their resume, and develop passions.

Students will learn pitch matching, a sense of rhythm, and technique. They will develop an understanding of the anatomical relations to singing technique such as breath control, jaw placement, etc. Students will be able to identify their singing range. By the end of the classes, students will be prepared to perform a classical piece(s) in an online performance!
Students will learn pitch matching, a sense of rhythm, and technique. They will develop an understanding of implementing appropriate tone and emotion into the voice. Students will be able to identify their singing range. By the end of the classes, students will be prepared to perform pop songs in an online performance!
Students will learn simple ballet positions along with technique. They will develop a sense of rhythm and will practice their technique to the beat of the music. Students will prepare a dance piece and will perform in an online performance during the showcase.
Students will learn a sequence of dance moves along with technique. They will develop a sense of rhythm and will practice their sequences to the beats of the music. Students will prepare a dance piece and will perform in an online performance during the showcase.
Students will learn how to use iMovie along with other film editing softwares to smoothly and logically create a film. They will be introduced to filming techniques. Upon learning different techniques, every student will work on the development of their personal short film which will be featured in a showcase.
Students will learn how to use paint, oil pastel, and color pencils and the appropriate techniques for each art material. They will learn how to plan a drawing and which elements create a successful piece of art. Upon learning these strategies, each student will work on a piece of art that sends a creative message which will be featured in the online showcase at our art exhibition.

Students will learn how to embody their characters. Upon learning these strategies, each student will work on a musical theater piece that will be featured in the showcase!
Students will learn how to evoke different emotional states and integrate it into their character. They will learn how to create a backstory and personality for their character. Our teachers will give notes on facial expression, comedic timing, and more. Upon learning these strategies, each student will work on an acting piece that will be featured in the showcase!
Students will learn scenic design and construction, stage management, drawing for design, and costume and makeup design. Upon learning these strategies, each student will work on creating a design for a costume that they will be making. It will be featured in the showcase!
